We’re almost 50 chapters (on Patreon) into Mod Superhero: Singularity. We’re coming up on two-thirds of the way through. Two of the big battles are done with two-ish more to go. Then there’s character stuff to wrap up and falling action/epilogue obviously. Still holding steady at about 2 chapters a week.
One of my goals by the end of the year is to make my ebooks available for libraries, but I’ve only just started on it. Still have a long way to go.
Now that the important stuff is out of the way, I figured I’d share some recent events and things that I’ve been getting into aside from writing…
I lost quite a bit of my last couple weekends to Dispatch. In case you haven’t heard of it yet, Dispatch is a superhero video game, but with quite a different formula than you’re probably used to. You play as a former hero who now works as a dispatcher for a superhero management company. For half of the game, you’re sending out different heroes on your roster to disturbances around the city (trying to pick the right hero for the job). The other half of the game is in a visual novel/choices matter format.
The game is great, and the soundtrack is awesome (I’m still trying to get Radio by Bershy out of my head).
I’ve also been getting into audiobooks (mostly through Libby and my local library). I’ve got a pretty long commute to my day job, so it works out. So far, I’ve listened to A Psalm for the Wildbuilt by Becky Chambers, book 1 of The Expanse by James S. A. Corey, and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Definitely recommend all three of those, depending on what genre you’re into.
That’s enough for now. I’ll check back in with you guys in December.
Till then,
SF
