Mod Superhero is officially finished. The last chapters are releasing on RR, SH, and WP, and the last book should be ready for an end of August release on Amazon and print. 

It’s been both a short and a long three and a half years since the series started. Went through some major life events, and I’m proud of finishing the series and how it wraps up. I hope you guys enjoy the finale. 

Mod superhero is also officially available to libraries*. This is a recent change. For years, Amazon required ebook exclusivity to be in their Kindle Unlimited program. Thankfully, they relaxed that recently in regards to libraries. 

*Note that you’ll still need to request the series from your library. It’s not automatically going to be there. Check your library’s website (or as a librarian!) to find that process. 

Someday I’ll make my other series available to libraries, but they need some work. I definitely want to update/bundle them first, maybe even rewrite a few of them. But that’s a task for future-me.

Now that Mod Superhero is finished I’m officially working on a new series. When it’s ready, it’ll get the same release strategy as Mod Super got—a book or two on web serial sites, another half a book ahead on Patreon, and then after a few months getting put up on Amazon and in libraries. I’ll probably announce the new series in the Fall.

Reading/Listening recap: 

I’ve already read Cradle by Will Wight and Dungeon Crawler Carl, but I’m relistening to both series in audio, splicing it in between other books/series. The narration is fantastic and definitely adds a new layer to both of the stories. I’m currently on non-fiction now and listening to Malcolm X’s autobiography, narrated by Laurence Fishburne. 

I recently finished my binge of the Worm web serial by Wildbow. The series was awesome, and if you’re looking for a dark superhero series, then it’s the best one you’ll find. There’s a sequel series, but I’ll probably take a break to read something else in the meantime. 

I also finished reading another massive series—Schlock Mercenary by Howard Taylor. This one was a comic a day scifi space epic that ran for 20 years. I read it back when it was releasing, and it hits just as good the second time. I’ve been reading a few comics here and there at work, and the reread still took me over a year. 

As for reading non-fiction, I’m working my way through some of Dean Wesley Smith’s books about Writing Into The Dark and Stages Of A Fiction Writer. He was a major influence in my process and mindset, and I highly recommend that any serious writers/authors check out his stuff.
